FeedHalton was formally established in 2023 to centrally and
sustainably address the increasing rates of food insecurity in the Region by
supporting any Halton-based social agency to service their communities through
distribution of free essential personal products, and both perishable and
non-perishable food. FeedHalton operates as a hub and spoke model via a central
warehouse distribution centre (the hub) to support existing Halton Region food
bank agencies (the spokes). This will allow agencies to focus on ‘the last
mile’ which is distribution direct to individuals.
